Happy November! It?s incredible how fast the school year is going! Here?s an update on our classrooms:

3 Year Old Preschool

Mrs. Melso will continue her lessons of pumpkins, leaves and apples and will also talk about Thanksgiving with her students and being thankful to God for all he has given us. Letters for the month are P, T and G. The children will work on their fine motor skills by tearing paper, gluing, cutting, and using tweezers. They?ll also work on counting and recognizing numbers.

4 Year Old Preschool

Miss Mikula?s class will dig into the Creative Curriculum unit of buildings. Investigations include: What do the buildings in our neighborhood and in other places look like? Who builds buildings and what tools do they use? What are buildings made of and what makes them strong? What is special about our building? And, what happens inside buildings? A number of the kids have really been into building towers and castles, so they will really like this unit☺. Other activities include reading ?The Three Little Pigs? and acting the book out, work-ing on fine motor skills, focusing on letter H, F, and E, and talking about what we?re thankful for.

Bible Stories for this month: God Provides Manna, Water and Quail, The Ten Commandments, and the Birth of Jesus Foretold.

There will be no school Wednesday, November 25th-Friday November 27th. We will be hosting our annual Thanksgiving luncheon on Tuesday, November 24th at 11:30am. All kids enrolled at RLP and their families are invited. We could use some help from RLC members for set up, food prep, and clean-up. We are also in need of turkey donations (we?ll need at least 36lb of turkey). Turkeys need to be precooked and shredded. If you?d be willing to help out in any way, please speak to Katie.
