Church Council Meeting

The Church Council held a regular meeting on July 19. Here are some highlights.

• The Council concluded reading through the Bible in one year and discussed the final
• portions of the Old Testament, with noted joy of the Gospel gems in some small books.
  
  
• Three new members were welcomed: Scott Graffin by adult confirmation and Rowan O'Brien and Katy Westphal by baptism. Welcome!!
  
  
• The Inreach team shared a questionnaire on possible worship opportunities. The council agreed to share this with the congregation in September to gather input on worship options.
  
  
• The Treasurer reported with joy and thanks to God that the fiscal year ended with offerings higher than expenses. The council will make recommendations to the congregation on how best to utilize these blessings.
  
  
• The Outreach team noted God's grace showered on our soccer camp, with 63 children in attendance. Comments about the camp were beyond awesome. Thanks to all who helped.
  
  
• The Prek chairman shared with thanks that all Prek staff positions are filled. Ali Manning, Director and 4K teacher. Mary Beth Knueppel, 3K lead teacher. Katrina Meinel, 3K assistant teacher. Becky Deegan, 4K aide. Volunteers will be needed to assist with custodial duties. Current enrollment is 15 in 4K and 6 in 3K (18 is max in 4K and 8 is max in 3K).
  
  
• The BAG (Big, Audacious Goal) discussion was continued. Investigation into more details on the most popular BAGs will be discussed at the next congregational meeting.
