COUNCIL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS



Council continued a study of 1 Timothy, focusing on leaders use God's law and Gospel properly.
New members Sarah Morisson and Sam Engelland were welcomed by adult confirmation. A party for new members will be held Sunday, November 6.

Celebration Sunday will be October 30.

A September dip in worship attendance is being monitored. We pray for it to be a temporary dip and not a trend. There's always plenty of seats in worship.

The outreach team reported on a need for social media help.

The council approved beginning formal discussions with Mt. Olive in Monroe to discuss working together. Mt. Olive made a similar approval on October 16.

Exciting possibilities in Fitchburg are being explored. A visit with WELS mission counselor Mark Birkholz is scheduled for October 26.

The council approved and will recommend the Prek Long-range planning recommendations to not continue with VASD 4K for the 2017/2018 school year and create a committee to assess early childhood outreach and education ministries. This recommendation will be discussed and voted on by the congregation on Sunday, October 23.   ...more
