CHURCH COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS From June 20th Meeting:

• The council leaders continued to study from 1 Timothy.  The focus was on public ministry qualifications to consider as directed by God’s Word.
  
  
• Vine & Branches Sunday—August 13th. We encourage you to sign up!
  
  
• We welcomed by Adult Confirmation– Avery Faul and  Jenna Valentin-Straight as New Members of Resurrection.  We rejoice to have this brother and sister in Christ in our midst!
  
  
• Mike Korth reported that our Preschool Graduation had a wonderful turnout and we had 10 families join us for worship on June 4th for the Lunch Bunch Celebration.  Mike was thanked for his years of service as the Preschool Chairman.
  
  
• The Treasurer, Nathan Brunk, reported that for the year, offerings and expenses are in line with budget. Thanks to God`s people for generous offerings of time, talent and treasure. 
   
• The council authorized the establishment of a land fund for future sites of the congregation.

• August 13th at 10.30 am was set for an open forum on an additional called worker for Resurrection. Please see the RLC notes page at rlcnotes.com for additional details.  This special document can also be viewed on our bulletin board in the church hallway.
  
  
• The council discussed the 2017/2018 budget and will recommend a budget to the July 9th Congregational Meeting.

The next Council Meeting was set for July 17, 2017.
