As many of you know, Resurrection started “RLC Clothing Closet” years ago, which was formed to give free clothing to families in need, and Becky Deegan volunteered to manage this ministry and to store clothing in her basement. Becky has discontinued this outreach effort for these reasons: 1) many communities, especially Verona, have many other resources, such as the Badger Prairie Needs Network (RLC has tag-teamed with BPNN many times) All of the clothing and other items that were donated to this cause have been given to Family Promise in Monroe—this organization aides homeless families by working with area churches to provide meals and a place to sleep, clothing, counseling, assistance with getting jobs, etc. Please pray that the intention of showing God’s love through giving was successful and that we continue to use the gifts God has blessed us with. ...more Notes: We want to thank Becky for her efforts and the wonderful ministry she has provided! | ||
