Church Council Highlights


The church council met on Tuesday, September 18. Here are the highlights:

The council continued a study of 1 Timothy, looking at chapter 6: leaders know and teach what true wealth is.

There was some discussion, but no decision about the possibility of modifying the rotation of pastor and vicar on Sunday morning to allow for less travel on Sunday morning.

Jeff Hartwig was granted transfer to St Mark`s in WAtertown, Wisconsin, due to a move to that area. Paul and Bobbi Jo Stiteley were received into membership at Resurrection by transfer from St. Andrew in Middleton.

Outreach team reported with joy that during August there were 18 first time guests in worship in Verona and 12 in Monroe. There are currently ten people in Bible 101/201/301 classes between our two campuses.

Worship attendance for August in Monroe was 47 average each week, 42 on Sunday and 5 on Monday. Verona attendance was 196. 150 on Sunday and 46 on Thursday. The Thursday number is higher than usual due to VBS closing worship on August 2, which had over 100 people in attendance.

The treasurer reported with thanks to God that offerings in August were more than $15,000 over budget. The 2017/2018 fiscal year ended with offerings over $20,000 above the budgeted amount.

The property chairman, along with all councilmen, thank all members for their countless hours of volunteer service.

The next council meeting was set for Tuesday, October 16.

The next congregational meeting was previously set for October 28 at 11.45 am.
