CONGREGATIONAL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

The meeting was held on April 28, 2019.

Opening devotion focused on the congregation goals. Grow. Spread. Plant. 700 in weekly worship. 1000 members. 4 sites. By 2028. God will bless as he sees fit.

The proposed logo was approved unanimously. The new logo will begin to be used ASAP.

A rough timeline for starting a new site in Fitchburg was shared. The goal is to have a site with facility and new pastor by September of 2022. A meeting will be held in Verona on Sunday, May 19 at 11:45 for all interested in learning more. Speak with Pastor Strutz or Kent Woller for more information.

It was emphasized that the timeline is only a suggestion and further votes would be required before major steps are taken.

Offerings are about 11 percent lower than budget. But all bills are current. Six members went on a mission trip to Chattanooga, TN in April and helped former vicar Eric Melso. Similar trips are likely in the future. Members received training on sharing their faith. The same training will be offered at Good News in Mt. Horeb on Friday, May 31. Sign up sheets and more info are posted at each campus for this free training.
