Early steps in this process have included the organization of a Fitchburg core group.  The mission of this group is to vet the Fitchburg area to ensure it is in fact a ripe field for RLC to consider for expansion.  This group has been meeting regularly and has gathered and organized information regarding outreach opportunities, demographics, land and synod financial support.  It is the opinion of the core group that Fitchburg is an extremely attractive opportunity for RLC to plant an additional site.  

The above work has been completed with minimal financial impact on the congregation and was necessary to ensure Fitchburg is in fact a viable opportunity.

The RLC council feels it is good and proper at this time to bring forth a recommendation to the voters that officially identifies Fitchburg as the location for our next site. An affirmative vote will allow the core group to move forward in the process knowing that they have the backing of the congregation.  As such the RLC council brings forth the following recommendation;

The Resurrection Lutheran Church council recommends that Fitchburg, Wisconsin is pursued as the next site of Resurrection Lutheran Church.

A yes vote indicates agreement to actively continue to pursue and establish a RLC site in Fitchburg, WI.. 

A Yes vote does NOT approve capital expenditures or authorize the pursuit of an additional loan or refinancing of our current loan for the purpose of site expansion..  These items would be voted on separately at a future date when specific information is known. 

A no vote indicates that Fitchburg should not be pursued as the next site.
