COUNCIL MEETING HIGHTLIGHTS

COUNCIL MEETING HIGHTLIGHTS

The church council held a regular meeting on October 16. Here are some highlights.

• The council continued Bible study starting 2 Timothy with the theme, “Leaders re-mind and encourage each other”

• The following membership changes were approved:
Tammy Streich was welcomed to our Verona campus by adult confirmation
Kathy Delikat was welcomed to our congregation by transfer from St. John’s in Cold-Spring. Kathy serves as our ministry coordinator and volunteer coordinator and so will be attending at both campuses once she is able to sell her current home and move to our area.
Welcome Tammy and Kathy!
Avery and Sara Faul and their son Wendel were granted transfer to Lord of Love in DeForest.

• The congregation has been blessed with a grant from the Siebert Foundation which will be used, per the foundation’s requirements, to assist with starting a new congre-gation in Monroe, specifically for pastor’s salary. This does not mean Pastor will be getting a raise, but more funds could be available for other ministry.

• The outreach team is continuing to consider logo options and plans to share an up-date at the October 28th congregational meeting.

• The council reviewed a motion regarding debt reduction and future excess funds. These two motions were shared earlier and are available for review prior to the con-gregational meeting on October 28th. The motions were unanimously approved by the council and will be presented at the congregational meeting with the council’s recommendation

• As mentioned earlier, the next congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, Octo-ber 28, at 11:45 am. Technology will be used to connect both campuses.
