Coronavirus Concerns

Coronavirus Concerns

We pray for the safety and health of all during this time of coronavirus.  As God`s people have both prayed in days of trouble and used the gifts God`s hand provided, as well as taken precautions, here are the steps we will be taking at RLC.

At this time, all events will take place as scheduled, including midweek and Sunday services.  Please stay home if you are feeling ill.  We will certainly fill in for you if you are scheduled to usher, greet, serve, play piano, etc.  But please be safe and stay home if you are not feeling well.

If the government or other authorities would at a future time mandate we may not gather, as good citizens respecting the government, we will refrain from meeting.  We are discussing options to provide God`s Word via technology as much as we are able.

Pastors and Vicar are always available to bring communion to you if you are not well or if meeting is not possible.

Changes to Note:
  • At this time, refreshments for Sunday services are planned, but we will ask servers to serve food and no one serve themselves.  For your safety, we recommend you wash your hands thoroughly in the restrooms before getting refreshments and refrain from touching your face, nose, mouth.

  • We love greeting, but we will refrain from shaking hands.  Also, hand sanitizer will be available at multiple locations at both facilities.  There is a shortage of hand sanitizer, so if it is feasible, consider using soap and water in the restrooms.

  • We will not offer communion in the common cup.  All those distributing communion have been following clean hands guidelines; this effort will be more obvious and intentional.

  • Our fellowship and cleaning teams have adopted new practices to minimize exposure as much as we can.  All common surfaces will be disinfected before each event and after.  Fellowship snacks will be served by servers wearing gloves to minimize risk as much as possible.  The cleaning teams will be using an appropriate disinfectant in their weekly cleaning that has proven effect on other Coronaviruses.

  • We are following the CDC updates as they come out regarding COVID19.  Information for personal/home sanitation as well as how to handle a sick person can be found on the CDC website:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/home/index.html

We understand things are changing from day to day and hour to hour.  We appreciate everyone`s understanding.  We apologize for any inconvenience, but more than anything want everyone to be safe and stay well.

Again, if you do not feel well, please stay home.

Please continue to pray for God`s love, guidance and power to remain with us during this time of pandemic.  We will continue to update you as the pandemic situation unfolds.

Call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you and you will honor me.  Psalm 50:15
